Hello world!
It’s been a while since I have given this page some love. I have been focused doing a lot of #adulting. Having a full-time job, a social life, taking care of my mental and physical health, while working on thousand faces! thousand faces? What is that? Well, let me take you back a bit…
Paulina Mendoza and I have been collaborating since we made our science project about Darwin and his theory of evolution back in middle school. We’ve had so many conversations about art, the different projects we have done and wanted to do. Last year one of those projects was born. She had one idea, then I had another idea and with a lot of back and fourth thousand faces happened. Since the very first conversations it has evolved so much, and it is still evolving.
We love art and we are so constantly in awe of all the artists that surround us that we wanted to connect with them, and to connect them with everyone else.
Paulina and I curated the first show, Demonstrate I, that featured Kelsey Baker, Aaron DeGruyter, and Whitley Stratton at G Spot Gallery in Houston, TX.
We are really excited about what thousand faces is becoming and about every single person we have connected with and the people we have yet to meet. This is just the beginning and I couldn’t be happier about doing it with my best friend and now partner.
If you want to read more, check out this interview that we just did with Voyage Houston! We talk a bit more about how we started, and where we are right now! Since our first show, we have been working in our vision and mission, and growing as a team.
I will keep you updated.
